    To avoid running out, brands often overproduce — but once the season ends, that extra stock is no longer needed. Most of it ends up in landfill, contributing to the 2 million tonnes of textiles discarded in Europe each year.

OUR STORY

Hi, I’m Matty, Founder at Mystery BOXD.

Massive football fan, passionate about sustainability, and on a mission to tackle football’s hidden waste problem.

Each season, clubs over-order kit — and millions of shirts go unworn. In Europe alone, up to 3.6 million items are wasted every year. That didn’t sit right with me.

So I started Mystery BOXD — a circular retail concept that rescues unsold stock and turns it into surprise mystery boxes that fans love.

Since launching two years ago, we’ve grown to a community of 30,000 customers and now partner with some of the biggest football clubs and retailers in the world — including my own club, BWFC.

It’s affordable, exciting, and better for the planet.
